Aleris ASIH Södertälje is a growing team working on behalf of Region Stockholm for patients with complex care needs, often in palliative stages. Here, specialist physicians, nurses, assistant nurses, and paramedical professionals work together to create safe and person-centered care in the patient's home.

We operate from modern premises next to the commuter train station at Södertälje Centrum.

About the Role

As a specialist physician within Advanced Home Care (ASIH), you have overall responsibility for your patients and play a key role in the team's medical leadership alongside the unit manager and specialist colleagues.

Here, you will have the opportunity to combine advanced medicine with close patient interactions and long-term relationships.

Responsibilities include:

• Working in multiprofessional teams with the patient's needs and life situation at the center.
• Responsible for medical assessments and treatments in the home.
• Conducting conversations with patients and relatives during difficult life stages.
• Contributing to the development of care quality, working methods, and teamwork.
• Participating in supervision and knowledge exchange within palliative care.

We Are Looking For

• A specialist physician in fields such as geriatrics, internal medicine, general practice, oncology, neurology, anesthesiology, or a related specialty.
• A genuine interest in palliative care and advanced home care.
• Thrives in a multidisciplinary team and values close collaboration.
• Confident in your professional role, meeting patients and relatives with professionalism, warmth, and clarity.
• Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented.

Experience in palliative medicine or double specialization in the field is an advantage.

Working Hours and On-Call Duties

The operations run 24/7.

A full-time position includes working weekdays from 08:00–16:00 and on-call shifts according to the established on-call model.

On-Call Model:

• Weekday evenings/nights: 16:00–08:00
• Weekends and holidays during the day: 08:00–16:00
• Weekends and holidays in the evening/night: 16:00–08:00

On-call compensation is paid according to the current collective agreement in the form of time off or cash payment.

No on-call shifts are scheduled during the introduction period.

Terms of Employment

• Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probation period.
• Scope: Full-time.
• Start date: By agreement.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
• Location: Södertälje.
