Your Role as Purchasing Specialist

As a Purchasing Specialist within Transport, you will work closely with the operations and be responsible for the entire procurement process - from analysis to follow-up. You ensure that we do business with the right suppliers, on the right terms, with a focus on the lowest total cost.

As a Purchasing Specialist in transport services, you are the division's expert in the field of transport services. The role is newly established and combines operational and strategic work, with a focus on developing, structuring, and improving purchasing activities to strengthen Svevia's competitiveness. Together with the specialist buyers from other divisions, you will drive and develop the strategic work for Haulage and Machinery Services within the group.

You work closely with the operations and are a secure support throughout the purchasing process – from needs analysis and procurement to follow-up and supplier development. At the same time, you drive change by challenging working methods, developing digital support, and contributing specialist knowledge within transport services.

You will, among other things:

• Drive the entire procurement process to ensure the operation's needs are met at the lowest total cost
• Be responsible for contract writing, contract follow-up, and supplier development within transport services
• Act as a specialist and knowledge support to the operations in purchasing-related matters
• Lead or participate in development and improvement projects within Haulage and Machinery Services
• Collaborate with purchasing colleagues in divisions and the group
• Contribute to the development of purchasing strategy, working methods, and digital tools

Start date as agreed, but preferably as soon as possible. We would prefer that you can base yourself from one of our larger offices in Umeå, Växjö, Kalmar, Jönköping, Linköping, Gothenburg, or Stockholm.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Extensive knowledge within transport services, for example from haulage, machinery, construction, or civil engineering operations
• Understanding of construction and civil engineering projects
• Good business understanding and experience working in a structured manner
• Ability to drive issues and projects independently
• Knowledge of AMA (Swedish construction industry standards)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license

Meritorious:

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or negotiation
• Experience in project management or leadership roles
