At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. We are a total of about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are now looking for a Solution Architect within Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the Digitalization and Development Department.

Here, you will have a key role in shaping and further developing identity and access solutions in a complex and societally critical IT environment. You will work closely with both business and technology and contribute to creating secure, scalable, and long-term sustainable solutions.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Solution Architect within IAM, you are responsible for driving and developing the architecture within the identity and access area.

You work with holistic solutions spanning both internal and external identities, where requirements for security, traceability, and availability are central.

You will among other things:

  • Analyze the current state and identify strategic improvement needs within IAM
  • Define target architecture, architecture principles, and technical choices
  • Develop solution designs based on established standards and platforms
  • Ensure that solutions meet requirements for information security and regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical support in dialogue with development teams and product owners
  • Contribute to architecture governance and long-term development in the area

You are part of the agency's architecture function and collaborate with solution, business, and software architects, as well as other key roles within IT and business.

You are expected to be able to translate complex requirements into clear architectural decisions and communicate these in a pedagogical and trust-building manner.

Who are you?

You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships through an attentive and flexible working style. You communicate clearly and pedagogically, both in individual dialogues and in larger forums, and adapt your message to the recipient and situation.

You are an active listener who takes in different perspectives and contributes to constructive solutions, even in complex contexts.

You have a strong holistic perspective and understand how different parts connect – from technology to business. You act with the best interests of the entire organization in focus and weigh both strategic and operational needs in your decisions.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where good collaboration skills, responsibility, and good judgment in complex technical environments are central.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a solution architect within IAM, IGA, PAM, and/or AM in larger organizations
  • Experience designing solutions based on standards such as SAML2, OAuth2, and OIDC
  • Experience working with Identity Provider (IdP) platforms
  • Good ability to communicate technical solutions orally and in writing
  • Swedish citizenship (required for security clearance placement)

Merits

  • Experience from government agencies or other security-sensitive operations
  • Certifications in IT architecture and/or information security
  • Relevant higher education in IT/Computer Science or equivalent

Employment

The position is classified for security clearance. Security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is conducted before a decision on employment.
