Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at Medical Center Southern Lapland, Lycksele

It has departments and clinics within areas such as surgery, orthopedics, operating rooms, internal medicine, rehab/stroke, maternity/gynecology, and pediatrics.

Medical Center Southern Lapland is an active and developing clinic at Lycksele Hospital. At the hospital, we have extensive and well-functioning collaboration between the different clinics. We also have well-functioning collaboration with municipal care, primary care, and the highly specialized care at the University Hospital in Umeå. We work and steer actively in everyday life towards the overarching goal of achieving good and close care for our citizens.

Job Responsibilities

As a Resident Physician (ST-läkare) with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

As a Resident Physician with us, you will receive a broad internal medicine education and become an important part of our well-regarded and forward-looking operations. We have the entire internal medicine spectrum at the clinic, but to gain specialization in certain areas, approximately 2 years at a specialist clinic at NUS, Umeå, are included. You will also be part of the hospital's on-call duties in the form of joint on-call shifts.

In addition to the specialty-specific program, you as a Resident Physician will also participate in the EKA education. A program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for Resident Physicians within Region Västerbotten.

Qualifications

You have a Swedish medical license with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare at the latest upon commencement. You have an interest in specializing in internal medicine.

Particular interest in nephrology, endocrinology, oncology, and/or infectious diseases is valuable but not a requirement.

To jointly reach the goal of good and close care, we believe you have good collaboration skills and a solution-oriented approach.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1.
