K 4 in Arvidsjaur is a small regiment, which means close proximity to everything, both within the operations and among colleagues. K 4 trains, develops, and leads ranger units with qualified capabilities to operate deep within enemy formations in a subarctic environment. Defence Health (Försvarshälsan) provides health and medical care, including daily medical care for conscripts during basic training, occupational health services for employees, and support with medical readiness in the field. In short, our mission is to help the unit maintain its physical and mental "combat value" by working to ensure healthy conscripts and staff.
In Arvidsjaur, we are a team consisting of doctors, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, and the operations manager. As a nurse with us, you will work both independently and as part of a team together with other professional categories.

Main Responsibilities
Within the area of health and medical care/daily medical care for conscripts, the role involves maintaining a medical clinic for conscripts, identifying individuals who need follow-up, investigation, care/treatment, and/or rehabilitation for medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses related to service. You are often the one making the initial medical assessment before the patient is referred to another profession or level of care.
Your daily work also includes, as part of the occupational health service mandate, work with vaccinations, health examinations, and statutory medical checks in working life, as well as mapping and educational initiatives.
The nurse is important in maintaining sharp medical care and increased medical readiness in connection with the regiment's training activities. This means that the work is sometimes conducted in the field, so physical activity/exercise is also a job duty.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with at least five years of clinical professional experience in Sweden.
- Relevant specialist education or other competence assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing (Swedish/English).
- Good computer skills.
- Driver's license at least category B with manual transmission (car driving is included in the work).

The work requires a good ability to independently plan, execute, and evaluate the results of performed tasks and assignments within the operations. QUALIFICATIONS
- Specialist education and experience within occupational health care, emergency and accident care/ambulance, ICU, or as a district nurse.
- Experience from advisory functions and reception work.
- Knowledge of minor sports and load injuries, wound care, psychological stress reactions.
- Experience of working in and independently driving projects, holding training sessions.
- Completed military service, previous experience of service within the Swedish Armed Forces and/or overseas service.
OTHER
- Employment type: Permanent, starting with a six-month probationary period.
- Employment level: Full time. Duty mainly during daytime, but also evenings and weekends occur in connection with training activities.
