About the position

The position is a combined role where you work both as a contact nurse and treatment nurse within hematology day care. You work closely with experienced colleagues, physicians, as well as the unit's outpatient clinic and day care to create a safe, cohesive, and patient-centered care throughout the patient's care pathway.

In the role of treatment nurse, you work with planned treatments such as cytostatics, antibody treatments, and blood transfusions. The work involves independent assessments, prioritizations, and nursing interventions in close collaboration with other professions in the team.

As a contact nurse, you work based on the national mission description for contact nurses in cancer care. You participate in diagnosis notifications and multidisciplinary conferences and are responsible for creating, following up, and revising "My Care Plan" and rehabilitation plans based on the patient's individual needs.

You serve as the patient's and their relatives' fixed care contact throughout the entire investigation and treatment process. The role involves providing information and support, identifying needs for cancer rehabilitation, and contributing to continuity, accessibility, and security in the contact with care.

The goal is to ensure safe and cohesive care for patients with hematological diseases. As a contact nurse, you are a clearly designated contact person within the patient flow for bone marrow failure and leukemia.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license.
• Several years of experience working as a nurse.

Merits:

• Specialist education in oncological care.
• Completed contact nurse education.
• Previous clinical experience in hematology or oncology.
