About the position

The Intensive Emergency Department is an adapted emergency clinic linked to Karolinska University Hospital's highly specialized care mandate. This means that only patients who require our resources in accordance with this highly specialized mandate are admitted.

This includes patients undergoing active treatment where cancer is the most common diagnosis, accepted referrals, and emergency care for certain specific patient groups needing our specialized competence, such as trauma, decompression sickness, and carbon monoxide poisoning requiring hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as ECMO care.

As a nurse here, you work with the nursing care and handling of the acutely ill patient. We work in teams consisting of assistant nurses and nurses, in close collaboration with doctors, and together we take responsibility for the initial emergency care of seriously ill or injured patients.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least 2 years of experience as a nurse.
• Experience with patients having significant medical and nursing care needs.
