Academic Primary Care Centre (APC) has an overarching research, education, and development mandate for primary care in Region Stockholm. APC and the three university health centres Jakobsberg, Gustavsberg, and Liljeholmen constitute the primary care university healthcare unit (USV) and are an important part of the new organization for knowledge-based management at national and regional levels. The operations are based on a network organization where the majority of our employees have their primary employment in clinical primary care services. Stockholm County Council, SLSO, is the main employer, but APC's operations are conducted independently of the operational form throughout Region Stockholm. Read more about APC here (#).
Description
FaR (Physical Activity on Prescription) is an evidence-based method to support patients in increasing their physical activity. The FaR method has been in use since the early 2000s. Despite the method's long history and proven evidence, it is still used too infrequently in healthcare. More patients need to receive a FaR prescription. Therefore, the government has allocated state grants to increase FaR prescriptions for the fourth year in a row. Academic Primary Care Centre will run a FaR implementation project in 2026.
The project focuses on further education and the implementation of FaR in primary care. We are looking for you who are a physiotherapist with experience from primary care. You need to have experience and interest in working with lifestyle habits and FaR. The tasks involve providing training and, together with colleagues, developing materials, etc.
You need to be a responsible, flexible, independent, driven, and creative person. The work also requires social competence, a humble attitude, and the ability to thrive in an environment where delivery is expected.
Qualifications
- Licensed physiotherapist
- Experience in prescribing FaR
- Experience working in projects is preferred
- Master's degree is preferred
- Good computer skills and proficiency in office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Pedagogical experience or training is meritorious
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

Conditions
Fixed-term employment, part-time (40%), from 2026-08-17 to 2026-11-30.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
In patient-facing roles within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire medical examination according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
