At the inpatient care unit within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), we aim to continue building a patient-centered approach and provide high-level competence tailored to patient needs, while emphasizing the application of evidence-based guidelines and care programs. At our facility, time for dialogue with patients and their relatives – nursing care – is a central part of your role as a nurse.

We are looking for

We are looking for a registered nurse. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Further education in psychiatry, training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as previous experience working in child or adult psychiatry and/or experience working with children, are considered merits. Knowledge of the Cosmic electronic health record system and other languages is also advantageous.

What you will be working with

Do you want to contribute to developing inpatient care for our children and adolescents? For us, patient-centered care is a given. Therefore, at our facility, you have the opportunity for dialogue with patients and their relatives. On the ward, we actively work on developing patient participation and care plans, where nursing care is an important part alongside medical treatment.

As a nurse, you coordinate care interventions for patients, perform sample collections, and administer medication. Psychiatric nursing also includes supportive conversations, psychoeducation, and documentation in the Cosmic system. You also have a supervisory and consultative role in nursing care for your colleagues.

We treat patients in the acute phase and have 6 inpatient beds. Patients are cared for by team members consisting of care assistants, nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, and medical secretaries. Care is provided in close collaboration with the child and adolescent mental health outpatient services, social services, and pediatric medicine in the county.

Information about the position

The position is a permanent full-time employment with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
