About the role
You will work in a team together with physiotherapists, nurses, and care staff, with the goal of enhancing quality of life. You see every individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs.
As an occupational therapist, you will find the best ways for residents to use their own abilities in daily life. You support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their physical, cognitive, and social skills. This often involves assessments and adapting the living environment. You also trial and prescribe physical and cognitive aids. You will supervise your colleagues in rehabilitation efforts, approaches, transfer techniques, etc. You will often also be in contact with the residents' relatives. At Polhemsgården, the occupational therapist is also part of the dementia team, working alongside physiotherapists, Silvia nurses, and Silvia specialist nurses.
About Polhemsgården
Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments focused on dementia care, as well as the day activity center Lyktan. Polhemsgården features nature and gardens as a core profile. Outdoor activities and events in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our daily routine. We work with different nature themes throughout the year.
Dementia Certification: We are a dementia-certified facility, meaning everyone working here is trained in dementia care and interaction through Silviahemmet and the Dementia Academy.
Youth Care (Ung Omsorg): We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg engages in various activities with our staff to add extra value to the lives of our residents.
Your experience and knowledge

have a pedagogical approach and enjoy working in a team while supporting colleagues.
You are a licensed occupational therapist, and we would appreciate if you have a few years of experience in elderly care. You are computer literate and have experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.
Start Date: As soon as possible or according to agreement. Probationary employment applies.
