About the position

At SGS, we analyze environmental samples to protect public health. We determine if there are heavy metals in drinking water, cyanide in the soil, or dioxins in pike.

The Metals Department consists of twelve laboratory technicians with diverse backgrounds. We work closely together on the department's various tasks and help each other where needed; "the team before the individual" is the motto we work by. We analyze solid materials and water samples, primarily using ICP-MS and ICP-OES. We have a cleanroom area where we process and analyze the lowest levels of metals. The positions are two fixed-term employment contracts from August 2026 to June 2027, scheduled during daytime Monday-Friday. Weekend work may occur when needed.

You believe it is important to meet customer requirements and needs and are quality-conscious in your work.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as our safety regulations are written in Swedish.
  • Science-based high school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Office package and IT proficiency
