YOUR NEW JOB

As a teacher in after-school care, you are part of a work team together with both teachers, childcare workers, and resources. Here, together with your colleagues, you have the main responsibility for ensuring that our after-school activities are creative, joyful, and learning-oriented for our children. This will be a challenging and exciting responsibility, based on our governing documents complemented by your ingenuity, professionalism, and initiative.

The assignment also includes supporting students' knowledge development during school hours. This may involve participating in the classroom, working with students in a smaller setting, working on practical, creative tasks with a smaller group of students, or working with a single student individually, always with the student's needs in focus.

YOUR COMPETENCE

We are looking for you who are educated and have a license as a teacher in after-school care or equivalent. You have previous experience of working in after-school care, preferably with younger children. You have good knowledge of and have worked with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and After-School Care (Lgr22) and have the ability to combine value-based goals with development and learning.

As a person, you need to be secure and have good cooperation skills. You take responsibility for your and the joint tasks with the children's best interest in focus. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives, and you encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

As a teacher in after-school care/playground pedagogue, you need to establish clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time. Therefore, you need to have the ability to work systematically with good structure. You also ensure that the work is completed and follow up on the results. In this role, you also need to be able to adapt your work based on changed conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Playground pedagogue/Teacher license
• For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register before employment.

Hällnäs School is located in a beautiful natural setting on the outskirts of the village, close to forests and wonderful nature. Adjacent to the school, we have had the opportunity to use an area as a school forest. The school premises include a preschool, after-school care, preschool class, and grades one to six. We strive to offer a warm and inviting atmosphere where students feel joy about going to school in the morning. For us, it is important that all students feel seen and confirmed.
