What does the role of Activity Coordinator at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?
As an Activity Coordinator, you will become a key person in our team and contribute to joy and community in line with Norlandia's concept Your Day. The concept Your Day aims to create meaning and reduce the feeling of loneliness. You are the one who ensures that the small details of everyday life become big experiences. Through conversation groups, cultural elements, meaningful activities, and social meetings, you contribute to strengthening the health and well-being of the elderly. You work closely with care staff, activity assistants, relatives, and external actors to create a daily life that promotes participation, quality of life, and community. The role includes, among other things:
- Develop an activity program every week.
- Together with the activity assistants, develop and carry out activities according to the activity year wheel and the Generation Concept for the operation based on the concept Your Day.
- Lead meetings such as activity assistant meetings, resident councils, and Rospiggen's Café, which is held 2–4 times per year.
- Create groups for those with common interests and plan how meetings can be conducted.
- Establish contact and cooperation with voluntary organizations, preschools, sports clubs, pensioner associations, churches, etc.
- Use and be responsible for our digital tool VilMer and posts on social media.
- Certain care duties may occur during working hours.
About Rospiggen's Generation House
Norlandia Stora Rospiggen has 80 bright and modern apartments across four floors, equipped with large adapted bathrooms, pantries, and specially adapted beds. Each unit has a kitchen, dining/living room, and terrace. In our communal spaces, we socialize, eat meals, and carry out activities. Each floor has spacious balconies for easily getting some fresh air and looking out over the surroundings and the inner courtyard. Each unit also has an activity room for creative and pleasant activities with our residents. In our outdoor environment, we offer outdoor stays and activities. We share the building with the preschool Lilla Rospiggen, which has space for 125 children, giving our residents and the preschool children the opportunity for natural and valuable meetings in everyday life.

Who are we looking for?

- We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, activity leader, or gerontological educator.
- Previous work experience in elderly care is required.
- You are confident in working digitally and have an interest in welfare technology and other technical solutions available in the operation to counteract loneliness.
- You have good cooperation skills and the ability to create security and engagement.
- Interest in people and social activities.
- You need to have good administrative skills.
- You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
Other information
Employment type: Permanent (6-month probationary period applies)
Hours: 75% according to agreement
Start date: According to agreement
Probationary period: We apply a 6-month probationary period.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the last application date.
In the event of employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
