Are you a driven and analytical Project Manager who thrives in ambitious, fast-moving environments? We’re looking for someone who can lead complex projects with clarity, structure and a strong sense of ambition. You take ownership, drive decisions and ensure real progress happens.

What we do at Blykalla

Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.

What you’ll get to do

As a Project Manager, you’ll join a fast-moving team working on some of the most ambitious clean energy initiatives in Sweden. Your role will be central to turning complex ideas into real progress, collaborating across engineering, suppliers and partners to deliver outcomes that shape the future of sustainable energy.

You will:

  • Lead high-impact technology projects from early concept to delivery, ensuring momentum, alignment and clear structure with full accountability for progress, decisions and outcomes.
  • Navigate risks, decisions and changing conditions with confidence, making informed decisions and driving clarity when direction is needed.
  • Support and guide cross-functional teams, helping them work effectively and stay aligned in dynamic environments.
  • Improve how we execute projects by refining processes, introducing best practices and enabling teams to work smarter.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by ensuring each project advances our long-term capabilities and future readiness.

Who you are

You’re a proactive project leader who brings structure, clarity and momentum to complex environments. With a strong sense of ownership, you make decisions confidently and hold yourself accountable for delivering results. Openness and clear communication help you build trust across teams, and your ability to navigate ambiguity keeps the focus on meaningful outcomes.

Above all, you’re driven and optimistic, motivated by building something new within clean energy.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • A degree in science, technology, or engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in large, complex, capital-intensive industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Experience from product development in large-scale physical industrial projects with multiple suppliers and partners, ideally involving hardware and component development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to inspire teams and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders at every level.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive mindset and a proven ability to drive decisions and take ownership under uncertainty.
  • Experience from start-up or scale-up environments is highly valued, especially roles requiring initiative, rapid decision-making and strong accountability.
  • Fluency in English is required; Swedish is a plus.

Experience in the nuclear sector is beneficial but not required.
