Markbladet has been distributed to the residents of Mark since 1967. Today, we see ourselves as the leading local news provider – with a print newspaper that reaches every household in the municipality every week, and a news website with fast, up-to-date updates. We are proud of what we do, but we are not content to rest on our laurels. We want to get even better.

About the role:

As News Editor, you will have a central role on the editorial team. You combine leadership with being a writing reporter with high productivity. You will drive both the daily operations and the long-term development.

You will:

• Work as a reporter and write articles yourself
• Coach, support, and develop the reporters in their work
• Drive the development of our journalism and content
• Lead the editorial planning and chair meetings
• Maintain an overview of the news landscape and the editorial team's work

We are looking for someone who:

• Has several years of experience working at a local newspaper
• Is a sharp journalist with a strong sense for news
• Has good knowledge of municipal coverage
• Is skilled at finding angles and clarifying what is important to the reader
• Is a confident and communicative leader who can develop others
• Is easy to collaborate with and builds trust
