We are in the midst of an exciting development phase towards becoming a modern geriatric emergency care ward, and we have recently moved to nice, newer premises located more centrally in the hospital. We will provide more emergency-oriented care to investigate and treat acute conditions in our frail elderly patients across 16 beds. We receive admissions from the emergency department and external geriatric facilities around the clock, and you will meet and care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.

Job Description

You will meet patients with both acute and chronic conditions.

You will use your full range of skills as a nurse – from advanced medical interventions to close patient contact.

You work in close collaboration with assistant nurses and other professions to provide safe, secure, and high-quality care.

During night shifts, two nurses and two assistant nurses work together on the ward.

You work in a climate where managers encourage participation. There is an open atmosphere where ideas are valued and employees are given the opportunity to influence and develop the operations.

Your Role as a Nurse

With us, you have a leading nursing role where you are responsible for the overall care of the patient.

You:

• Lead and coordinate nursing work in close collaboration with assistant nurses
• Participate in direct nursing care
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions
• Perform medical interventions and measures
• Engage in dialogue with patients and relatives
• Ensure care characterized by patient safety

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experienced or newly graduated – most importantly, you are the right person for us. However, we want to emphasize that night work requires you to be secure and confident in your professional role, as there are fewer staff working at night.

Additionally, you are an engaged, flexible, and positive person regarding changes in your professional role. We see that you take personal responsibility for your learning, communicate your needs, and wish to contribute your knowledge, drive, and personality to our team.

Merits:
