About the position

As an occupational therapist with us, you belong to a larger rehab unit based in Norrtälje. We primarily wish to complement our team in inpatient care, where we have four wards – geriatrics, medicine, surgery, and orthopedics.

As a new employee, you will have time set aside each week for meetings with a mentor who will help you get started in the job.

We offer a full-time position during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, in a work environment characterized by engagement, joy, and development.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Rehabilitation of inpatients with various diagnoses.
• Assessment and treatment of ADL (Activities of Daily Living) skills and cognitive abilities.
• Assessment of assistive device needs.
• Prescription and follow-up of assistive devices.
• Mentoring of students.
• Mentoring of staff.
• Work in an interprofessional team.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a licensed occupational therapist.
• A B-driver's license for manual transmission.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• A genuine interest in elderly care and rehabilitation, as well as an interest in developing new working methods, both digitally and physically.
• Experience working in inpatient care or specialized housing.
• Experience working with geriatric patients.
• Experience working in the field of dementia.
