About the workplace
Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diaconia and operates a total of nine elderly care homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a secure and content-rich daily life, featuring activities, community, and good, pleasant meals. At our facilities, everyone should feel at home!
In November 2026, Miriamhemmet, a completely new care and support residence within Ersta Diaconia, will open in the new Tensta Terrace area. Miriamhemmet will consist of 80 modern apartments distributed across eight units and six floors, featuring bright common areas, balconies on each unit, and a large green rooftop terrace. The residence will be adapted for both somatic and cognitive conditions.
Launching a new elderly care home means that we will build work methods, routines, and culture from the ground up together. This gives you a unique opportunity to influence how we work and help create a meaningful daily life for our residents – right from the start.
As an employee, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will provide you with the conditions to enjoy your work and have a rewarding free time.
About the role
As a nursing assistant, you will collaborate closely with residents, relatives, managers, and other care staff. You and your colleagues plan the workday based on the residents' individual needs and wishes. Creating a sense of home and a meaningful daily life for those living with us are important parts of the job. We focus on person-centered care, activities, care meals, and key worker systems.
In the startup phase, you will play an important role in helping to establish structures and work methods for the care. You will combine care work with contributing to the team's development.
This advertisement refers to positions at 85%. Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekends. You will work every other weekend and have 1–2 long shifts per four-week period.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building something new and is motivated by the opportunity to influence. You thrive in a changing environment, are flexible, and take initiative.
You have a strong interest in people and are confident in yourself. We also value that you are easy to collaborate with, communicate well with your colleagues, and are meticulous in your work.
You share Ersta's value base of seeing the whole person and our core values: professionalism, trust, and hope.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A professional certificate as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
- Previous experience working in an elderly care home
