Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska). Experience with the medical record system Cosmic and inpatient care is meritorious. Personal qualities are highly valued. As a person, you are independent and proactive. You have good collaboration skills as you value and see the benefit of working with others. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

What you will work with

Orthopedics is a county clinic with operations in Piteå, Gällivare, and Sunderbyn. On the orthopedic ward in Sunderbyn, you will primarily work with patients who have acute injuries or disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Some patients may have broken a bone in the ski slope or been involved in a traffic accident, while other patients have fallen at home and suffered a hip fracture. Other conditions may include planned or emergency amputations as well as planned back surgeries. This means that the patient group on the orthopedic ward varies in terms of age, complexity, and underlying diseases.

As a nursing assistant on the orthopedic ward, you participate in patient care, but the work also includes taking samples, checks, assisting doctors and nurses during examinations and treatments, risk assessments, and documentation in the medical record system. We work in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors to provide the patient with the best possible care and support.

We have a structured way of working with pulse meetings, care burden measurements, clear routine documents, and cheat sheets. Continuous improvement work is ongoing, partly through our improvement board where everyone has the opportunity to make their voice heard, but also through the opportunity for own areas of responsibility. Every day we work with the Red Cross to identify risks in care, but also to follow up on how the staff's day has been as we have a strong focus on a good work environment and that everyone should enjoy their job.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
