Here we work with nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and administrative staff. For most of the day, we work in a flat hierarchy flow where patients are sorted based on how sick they are rather than which organ specialty they belong to. We work in care teams with close collaboration between nursing staff and doctors, where every employee is an important part of the whole. The Emergency Care Unit includes an emergency clinic for adults and an urgent care clinic for children and adults. We receive 150-200 patients of all ages daily, ranging from wound injuries and simple fractures to sepsis alarms and cardiac arrest.

Nurse for Emergency Clinic/Urgent Care at Södertälje Hospital:

As a nurse, you have overall responsibility for assessment and triage, and you perform nursing measures, medication administration, and sampling. In the Emergency Department, you have a varied job where you switch between our different workstations: emergency clinic, urgent care, and reception.
