Description

We are now looking for an Operations Caretaker for our ice hall. We have two active hockey clubs, a hockey profile at the high school, and open ice times for the public. A large part of our work is to provide visitors with a warm welcome and a pleasant experience. As an Operations Caretaker, you will be part of the property management team, which is responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's sports facilities, among other things.

During the spring and summer, when the ice hall is closed, you will be part of the property management's other operations. You will then work with various caretaker tasks indoors and outdoors at the municipality's leisure facilities and properties. You may also work as a driver during the spring and summer.

Job Responsibilities

Our work involves close contact with the leisure department, sports clubs, and citizens. The work consists of managing the ice hall. The group works shifts during the ice season (approx. September to April) on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Tasks include ice resurfacing, ice flushing, cleaning, supervision, maintenance of buildings and technology, and handling of chemicals, among other things.

Qualifications

As an Operations Caretaker, we look for you to have the following qualifications:

• Completed compulsory school
• Documented relevant work experience in the field, e.g., as a caretaker or building maintenance worker, preferably from an ice hall
• Ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Valid driver's license class B for manual transmission
• Good administrative skills and familiarity with computer use

As an Operations Caretaker, the following experience is meritorious:

• Experience from working in an ice hall and as a sports field caretaker
• Experience from working as a driver
• Experience from working in public sector operations
• Private experience from club life and sports activities

Great importance will be attached to personal qualities.
