Inspection Engineer – Radio Base Stations & Telecommunications Facilities

We are currently seeking experienced and certified construction inspection engineers for assignments involving the new construction and renovation of radio base stations and telecommunications facilities within road and railway infrastructure.

The assignments involve construction inspections in accordance with, among other things, AB 04 and ABT 06 standards, carried out across Sweden over several years. This role is suitable for you who possess solid technical competence in telecommunications and radio installations, as well as a good understanding of construction law and infrastructure facilities.

About the Assignment

As an inspection engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that construction work is carried out in accordance with contracts, technical requirements, regulations, and current rules. You work independently and have overall responsibility for the inspection process.

The need is estimated at approximately 30–100 inspections per year. The consultant must have the capacity to handle at least two simultaneous inspections.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will, among other things:

• Be responsible for and carry out construction inspections
• Ensure that contractors perform work in accordance with contracts, drawings, and technical requirements
• Monitor and follow up that requirements, norms, and regulations are met
• Follow up that designers and contractors work in accordance with current regulations
• Ensure that relationship documents are correctly prepared and checked
• Document deviations and prepare inspection reports
• Collaborate with project managers and other actors within the project organization

Prerequisites for the Assignment

Before each project, a mission briefing is conducted where the inspection engineer gains access to relevant systems and project documentation, such as:

• Requirements and regulations
• Technical descriptions
• Management data
• Investigations
• Project-specific IT systems and project portal

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you must meet the following requirements:

Required Requirements

• Certified construction inspection engineer
• At least 5 years of experience as an inspection engineer
• At least 2 years of documented experience in telecommunications/radio installations
• Good knowledge of construction law
• Good knowledge of road conditions for assignments within road infrastructure
• Good computer skills
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Category B driver's license
• Good knowledge of laws, standards, and regulations regarding radio masts and electrical work
• Good knowledge of standard agreements AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK 09

Meritorious

• BAS-Ä (Safety and Security Management for work in track environments)
• Experience from railway projects and work in track environments
• Experience from major infrastructure investments and technical facility projects
