Assignment Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Cost Engineer.

What You Will Work On

• Lead Cost and Value Engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness and profitability
• Build cost and value transparency across products, solutions, and third-party scopes
• Perform should-cost analyses and evaluate supplier quotations
• Support target setting and Design-to-Cost activities
• Drive cost optimization and cost-out initiatives across the portfolio
• Coordinate cross-functional workshops and efficiency improvement activities
• Track CVE measures in cost management tools and support proposal teams
• Communicate cost-saving recommendations and insights to stakeholders and leadership
• Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing teams, and engineering functions
• Support procurement and operational excellence initiatives

What You Bring

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Master’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience within Cost Engineering or related areas
• Strong expertise in should-costing methodologies and cost optimization activities
• Experience with tools such as TcPCM, aPriori, MLPP, CBD, and preferably NX
• Strong analytical capability and understanding of cost drivers
• Experience working with suppliers, sourcing processes, and negotiation activities
• Knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing including machining, forging, casting, fabrication, and electronics is an advantage
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills in international environments
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
• Fluent communication skills in both Swedish and English
