Do you want to work with advanced CNC machining in an exciting and demanding manufacturing environment? We are now looking for dedicated CNC operators for a position at Bergen Engines! The position is initially a 6-month employment through Randstad, with very good opportunities for permanent employment at Bergen Engines for the right person. Please note that the work may involve 3-shifts.

Bergen Engines AS is a leading and important industrial company in the region with approximately 600 employees. The headquarters is beautifully located on Hordvikneset in Hordvik, just north of Bergen. The company designs and manufactures large gas and diesel engines for use in ships, power plants, and commercial greenhouses, delivering to customers worldwide. Responsibilities:

As a CNC operator, you will become a central part of the production. Your main tasks include:

• Operating and monitoring CNC-controlled machines (milling and turning)
• Machining in accordance with production plans and technical drawings
• Programming and tool setting
• Use of CAM tools (e.g., EdgeCam)
• Self-control and precision measurement of finished parts
• Reporting any deviations and order management
• Daily maintenance of machines and your workstation
• Actively contribute to the department's work with continuous improvements

Qualifications

Desired and meritorious qualifications:

• Professional certification as a CNC operator
• Practical experience in the CNC field (milling and turning)
• Experience with CAM tools (knowledge of EdgeCam is highly meritorious)
• Good understanding of production methodology and cutting tools
• Good language skills in Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language) and English
