Buying & Product Assistant for our client

Are you structured, detail-oriented, and do you have a genuine interest in textiles and product development? We are currently looking for a Buying & Product Assistant for a consultancy assignment with a leading Nordic children's clothing company known for its strong brands and international reach.

About the assignment

Our client is a leading company in premium children's fashion and lifestyle, operating in several European markets. The company develops its own brands with a focus on Scandinavian design, sustainability, and quality.

As a Buying & Product Assistant, you play a key role in the product development and sourcing process. You work closely with product managers, pattern makers, the CSR department, and international suppliers to ensure correct samples, on-time deliveries, and smooth administrative processes from concept to finished production.

You report to the Head of Proprietary Brands and are part of a fast-paced product team with clear ambitions.

Responsibilities

Product Development & Samples: Measure and review samples, lab dips, strike-offs, and trims to ensure they match specifications. Support the sample approval process and track lead times through various development stages.

Supplier Communication: Handle daily communication and follow-up with international factories and suppliers.

Tech Packs & Administration: Update, maintain, and adjust tech packs including sketches, labels, packaging, and manuals. Handle order administration, master data, and item registration in the system.

Sustainability & KPI Tracking: Follow up on certificates, sustainability documentation, and inspection reports together with the CSR manager. Monitor key KPIs such as delivery precision, sample approval times, and cost deviations.

Are structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple deadlines simultaneously. You communicate effortlessly with international suppliers, take responsibility for your deliverables, and contribute to a well-functioning team with high quality in everything you do.

Requirements and qualifications

• Educational background in textiles, clothing technology, product development, or similar
• Good proficiency in Excel (data handling, formulas, structure)
• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and ability to work with sketches, tech packs, and labels
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple schedules and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and experience working with international suppliers
• Fluent English in both speech and writing

Desirable experience

• Experience with ERP or PDM/PLM systems
• Knowledge of Chinese
• Experience from children's wear or outerwear

Location and scope

The assignment is based in Stockholm. Scope and start date to be agreed upon.
