Job Responsibilities

In Nynäshamn, we work together with the individual in focus. Together with the team, you create the conditions for residents to have a good quality of life. It is a varied job where no two days are alike, and we always work for the best interest of the individual. The work consists of routine tasks such as:

• interprofessional work based on the individual's needs
• supervision and leadership of staff
• delegation of healthcare tasks and follow-up on these
• documentation in a database-based journal.

You are the responsible nurse for your patients, making assessments and interventions in consultation with the responsible doctor. You collaborate with care staff as well as unit and group managers. In your role as a nurse, you also have contact with on-call doctors, external healthcare providers, and relatives.

We are looking for nurses who want to make a difference and will work during the summer on day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as for hourly positions.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Social Services Administration is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and family services, adult services, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents throughout all stages of life.

Nynäshamn Municipality currently offers care and housing for the elderly, for people with dementia, and for those who need extra support, care, and housing according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). There are currently four elderly homes, five group homes, and two service apartments with special services for adults according to LSS under the municipality's management.

The Health and Medical Care Unit consists of a business manager, unit manager, coordinating nurse, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We work in teams around the user in close collaboration with care staff to offer care and housing of very high quality. We have a strong interest in development work at our residences. Together, we create care that we can be truly proud of.

Our mission is to ensure that every user receives good and safe care, both for chronic and acute conditions, as well as end-of-life care. As a responsible nurse, you will have varied tasks and exciting challenges.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role, you have:

• registration as a nurse
• 1-5 years of experience as a nurse
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license and good driving experience.

It is an advantage if you have:

• education within elderly care/disability services.

In your work, you are well-organized and plan and prioritize with good judgment. You can make quick and correct decisions despite limited information or in complex situations, and you maintain your good judgment and humor even under time pressure.

You are a team player and share knowledge and experiences with your colleagues, while also being able to work well independently. You have the ability to communicate clearly to ensure messages are received, and you follow up on work and results. Furthermore, you are meticulous and quality-conscious and have an interest in working with development projects.
