Birkaskolan is centrally located in Ekerö Municipality with good bus connections from Brommaplan. The school offers education for children from preschool to grade 9. During the 2025/2026 school year, we moved into newly built, purpose-built facilities in the Ekebyhov area.

At Birkaskolan, we create a unique environment for lifelong learning, with the student always at the center. Our school is based on Montessori pedagogy, which means, among other things, that students learn early on to take responsibility for their studies under the support and guidance of their teachers. We strive to provide students with a solid knowledge foundation for further studies, adapted to each student's individual prerequisites. As a modern Montessori school, we believe in a pedagogy that encourages the student's innate curiosity. We do not just learn by reading – we learn with all our senses.

There is now an opportunity to become part of our team in grades 4–6. The classes on the intermediate level number four and are mixed-age. We work with a two-teacher system where two teachers share subject responsibility and mentorship within a class. The student groups are mixed-age, and the older children serve as role models who can guide and assist the younger ones.

These values are alive and well, and we work based on these values in everything we do. We are looking for a teacher with the qualifications to teach at the intermediate level. We want you to have good collaboration skills, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. It is important that you enjoy challenges, are solution-oriented, and work with relational leadership.

Your duties as a teacher include planning for students' knowledge development, collaborating with colleagues, parents, and management, as well as other common tasks included in a teacher's role. The employment percentage is 80–100 %.
