IES Södertälje is looking for a School Nurse for Grades 5-9

As a school nurse, you will work closely within the IES Student Health Team, as well as with management, teachers, mentors, and student support staff.

The position primarily targets students in middle and upper secondary school (grades 5-9) and includes standard duties according to the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education guidelines, such as:

• Health conversations and health checks
• Open reception for students
• Medical clinic duties
• Vaccinations
• Preventive and health-promoting work
• Health information in formats such as lessons/seminars for students

You will work closely with the school's current school nurse and collaborate with the principal and other professionals in the student health team to support students' development towards educational goals. Collaboration with the municipality and other agencies, as well as contact with guardians, is a natural part of the job.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with specialized training in: Child and Adolescent Health, District Nursing, or the School Nurse Program
• Previous experience as a school nurse is an advantage

Employment Terms

Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. Employment 80-100% during daytime hours. Holiday cover position.
