Orthodontics in Norrbotten is a specialist service within the Public Dental Service, with clinics in Luleå, Piteå, and Gällivare. We are currently looking for dental nurses and orthodontic assistants – one position in each location. Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are trained as a dental nurse or dental hygienist. If you are a dental hygienist, it is a requirement that you further train to become an orthodontic assistant. Proficiency with computers is also a prerequisite. Training as an orthodontic assistant is meritorious, as is previous experience working with orthodontics in general dentistry or similar. Experience in direct patient care and team-based dentistry, as well as knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic, are considered advantages.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are flexible, self-motivated, structured, and have good collaboration skills.

Job Responsibilities

Orthodontics is a specialist service where dentists, dental nurses, and orthodontic assistants work closely together. To ensure an efficient patient flow, we encourage initiative, responsibility, and strong teamwork.

Your duties include assisting dentists, direct patient care, and administrative tasks such as scheduling, TeleQ, and planning. Sterilization work is also part of the daily routine.

Information about the position

There are three permanent positions available, one in each location (Luleå, Piteå, Gällivare). The positions are full-time and during daytime hours. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
