Lymphedema Therapist for Compression Unit – FHH, SLSO

The Assistive Devices Operations are responsible for operating assistive device services for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for individuals in need of consumable aids at home, medical technology equipment at home, and communication, cognitive, visual, and hearing aids.
We are looking for you who are a Lymphedema Therapist with extensive experience as a prescriber of compression products.
Consumable Aids at Home (FHH) is one of four assistive device operations within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Region (SLSO) and Region Stockholm. Our area of responsibility and product range at FHH includes nutrition, incontinence aids, diabetes aids, dressings and medical supplies, as well as compression materials. We distribute our products via our warehouse to approximately 182,000 patients every year.
You will work within the consultant team, which is jointly responsible for all product areas within FHH. We value excellent collaboration between the product areas to achieve our common goals together.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the compression product area.
- Conduct training for prescribers regarding our products and the prescribing process.
- Participate in expert groups and represent FHH in the region's procurement of products.
- Manage the product range for compression products within the operation.
- Together with your colleagues, be responsible for the medical expertise within our product areas.
- Evaluate, update, and administer the product range.
- Participate in network groups and lead reference group meetings within your area.
- Provide advice to prescribers.
- Communicate with interest organizations/user organizations.
- Communicate with product suppliers.
- Develop and revise routines and work for quality improvement.
- Provide internal supervision and act as a knowledge holder in the role of assistive device consultant.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Nurse with at least 2 years of experience in the role.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in prescribing compression products.
- Further education in Lymphedema Therapy.
- Experience and education in any of the other product areas are meritorious.
- Very good computer skills. Good knowledge of Office software, such as Excel, and experience using various IT tools are necessary.
- Enjoy giving presentations and training and speak comfortably in front of others.
- Ability to independently drive issues and possess good communication skills.
- We are a unit under constant development; you need to be a driving force who constantly wants to be an active part in improving and developing your and your colleagues' areas in collaboration with the consultant team.
- Procurement of products is part of the work; experience with procurement is meritorious.

- You can express yourself well and error-free in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Region:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
