Blomsterfonden – For a safer and richer life for the elderly

Blomsterfonden is a non-profit association working to ensure that the elderly have a safe home, professional care, and a meaningful daily life.

We run five senior housing facilities with vibrant social community, our own home care service, and four elderly care homes where secure care is the focus. Our goal is to give older people a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy of life. Our work is permeated by our ethical values: humanity, participation, clarity, and honesty.

The association was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the "Blomsterfonden spirit" – which still characterizes our operations today. We continue Alma's legacy by safeguarding what is at the core of every human life: seeing the individual's capacity, will, and emotional life.

Blomsterfonden also actively works to support relatives. We organize and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about the needs and living situations of the elderly.

We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse (undersköterska) and want to take this opportunity to become part of our wonderful care team in Saltsjösten this summer.

We are looking for someone who can work both independently and in a team. The way of working requires that you have a drive to learn new things and can adapt quickly if the situation demands it. You will work in a team of assistant nurses with a group leader who is also a registered nurse as your nearest manager.

At Blomsterfonden, we work based on a value foundation and working methodology so that residents' wishes, integrity, and self-determination are respected.

In care work, you work closely with the resident, which means that based on approved interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), you support the resident with, among other things, social contacts, personal hygiene, and meal support.

The work is scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. We offer a varied and enjoyable job in modern new premises, as well as good support from experienced colleagues and knowledgeable leadership.

Qualifications

As of July 1, 2023, assistant nurse (undersköterska) is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title assistant nurse within care and social services.

It is important that you have good communication skills and fluently master Swedish in both speech and writing. You are computer literate and accustomed to documentation.
