Job Description

As a painter, you are offered a varied daily routine where you meet many people in a job with freedom within the scope of the assignment. You are part of a closely collaborating team with high job satisfaction. You also have close collaboration with other industry colleagues such as technicians, carpenters, electricians, and property caretakers, as well as close contact with our operations and customers.

The painters work with all forms of painting work within the municipality's property portfolio. Painting work occurs both indoors and outdoors on walls, ceilings, woodwork (doors/windows), and facades using brushes, rollers, and/or sprayers. Hanging wallpaper and fabric is also part of the role, and other property-related tasks may occur.

The work as a painter requires good knowledge of materials, the ability to choose the right type of paint and material for different surfaces and environments, as well as high precision where cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling of surfaces are prerequisites for a good final result. Our properties and operations consist of everything from schools, preschools, and group homes to leisure facilities, which provides a varied work environment. Emergency response work may occur in the position.

Qualifications

As an applicant, you have a approved education as a painter with a secondary education followed by an apprenticeship period and a journeyman's certificate, or other similar education that is adequate for the assignment.

You also have previous experience as a painter, or experience that the employer considers equivalent for the assignment. As a person, you contribute to good collaboration with both colleagues and customers.

You have a solution-oriented approach, are meticulous, and have a good sense of service that you exercise in your profession towards the customer.

Good computer skills and use of electronic aids are meritorious, as both computers and smartphones are important work tools in daily work.

A manual transmission B-driver's license is a requirement.
