Job Description

Our department for Electrical, Instrument & Automation at AFRY currently consists of a team of electrical, instrumentation, and automation engineers located in Norrköping and Linköping. We work with everything from design and construction to commissioning and technical support within the process and manufacturing industry, energy, and other industrial segments. Here, you become part of a team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and well-being. We are part of Pulp & Paper Sweden and deliver both project and PS assignments to a broad customer base in the region.

As an Electrical Power Designer with us, you work with electrical design in assignments primarily within the Industry and Energy segments. The assignments vary in size and content, ranging from feasibility studies and preliminary design to new construction and renovation projects. The work is carried out both in-house and on-site at the customer's premises.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Electrical power and electrical design
• Analysis and technical investigations
• Short-circuit calculations and cable sizing
• Selectivity plans
• Circuit and connection diagrams, layouts, cable lists, and connection tables
• Equipment selection and technical specifications
• Participation in checkout, commissioning, and startup

The group consists of knowledgeable and engaged colleagues with a good mix of junior and senior experience. You have access to support from experienced engineers and specialists within both instrumentation, electrical, and control systems, including from other AFRY offices if needed.

We work primarily in project form and have close collaboration with other technical areas and geographies within AFRY. The combination of broad technical competence and varied assignments gives you good opportunities for development, both in your current role and in the long term, for example with specialization in instrumentation or greater responsibility in projects.

You get the opportunity to follow projects all the way, from idea and design to commissioning and final inspection.

Qualifications

You take responsibility for your deliverables, are service-oriented towards customers and colleagues, and have the drive to develop both yourself and the business.

To fit into the role with us, we believe you have:

• Several years of experience in electrical power or electrical design, transformers, switchgear, motors, and drive systems
• System proficiency and experience with AutoCAD
• Relevant technical education from upper secondary school, university college, or university, or equivalent experience

Language Skills: Swedish in speech and writing. English is an advantage.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with design tools such as Comos, Eplan, or Insyde
• Courses or training in EL-Vis, Febdok, Netkoll, Neplan
