Job Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst for a long-term consulting engagement within the grocery and retail domain. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing business-critical systems and processes, particularly within supplier management, purchasing, and assortment planning.

You will contribute to both the evolution of existing platforms and the development of new capabilities, with a focus on improving data quality, enabling business transformation, and supporting advanced analysis and simulation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, evaluate, and refine business requirements through stakeholder workshops, discussions, and collaborative sessions.
• Convert business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications to guide development teams.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality delivery across development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritization aligns with business objectives and strategic goals.
• Provide analytical and advisory support to business stakeholders on both operational challenges and long-term initiatives.
• Contribute to effort estimation, including timelines and cost assessments for ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
• Support system stability by assisting in incident handling, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Facilitate improvements in system processes, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency across multiple parallel projects.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT environments.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end requirements lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of business and IT alignment.
• Excellent analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with databases, SQL, or basic coding concepts.
• Knowledge of data modeling and system integration practices.
• Exposure to digital transformation or system modernization projects.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience Required

• Several years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale or complex environments.

Language Requirements

• Swedish (Proficient).
• English (Professional working proficiency).
