Dingle Gymnasium is looking for a school librarian. Dingle Gymnasium is a smaller independent upper secondary school offering the Natural Resources Programme with specializations in gardening, horses, and animal care. The school also offers the International Management (IM) Programme. The school's governing body is Naturbruk Väst. Together with Nuntorpsgymnasiet, we are two schools firmly rooted in the long-standing tradition of natural resources education that has always characterized the areas where our schools are located.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school librarian, you are responsible for running and developing our school library as a pedagogical resource, with a focus on promoting reading, media and information literacy, and digital competence. You will also collaborate with teachers to integrate the library's resources into teaching. The role includes library administration, such as selecting, purchasing, and organizing books and digital media to meet students' needs. You will register and catalog new books in the library system, weed out old and outdated books to keep the library up to date, and handle lending to a certain extent.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have suitable education for the position.

Good pedagogical understanding and ability to teach.

Competence in teaching source criticism, information searching, and digital tools.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position is a holding position with a scope of 20%, but it can also be combined with our other vacant positions if the right competence is available.
