This year, the Social Services Board has also decided to work with a bonus for substitutes who work continuously for eight weeks during the summer. This means that those who choose to work in an outer area will receive an extra 10,000 SEK after completing their substitute period. Those who work centrally will receive an extra 8,000 SEK after completing their substitute period.
Summer Substitute Positions within the Social Services Board
Do you want a summer job where you make a difference for others and simultaneously gain valuable experience? The Social Services Board is now seeking summer substitutes for our operations within Functional Support (FS) and Elderly Care (EC), including home help services and special housing.
Our mission is to help people who need support and assistance in various forms. Through our work, we aim to create conditions for participation, security, and influence over one's own life.
Job Responsibilities
The work varies depending on the operation, but what is common is that you meet people who need support in different parts of life. The work is varied and offers many exciting meetings with interesting people, where you work based on each person's individual needs and contribute to both security and independence.
Home Help Services
Within home help services, you support people who live at home but need help in daily life due to age, illness, or disability. Job responsibilities may include, for example:
- cleaning, laundry, and other household chores
- shopping and errands, help with meals
- personal care, such as hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits
- supervision and social support
Special Housing
In special housing, you work with people who need support and care around the clock. Those living here often have greater care and supervision needs. You may work with, among other things:
- personal care during different parts of the day
- support with transfers and daily activities
- simpler health care tasks after delegation
- security-creating measures and documentation according to routines
Here, you are part of a team that together creates a secure environment.
Functional Support
Within Functional Support, you work with people who need support in their daily lives. The support can range from social guidance to help with various disabilities and is provided according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Services Act (SoL). The work can take place in group homes, personal assistance, short-term homes for children and young people, supported housing for young people, as well as social psychiatric housing and housing support.
Job responsibilities may include:
- support in personal care
- help with structuring and carrying out daily activities
- social support, conversations, and motivation
- support during leisure activities and participation
- documentation and work based on implementation plans
Conditions
- Substitute positions during June, July, and August
- Working hours day, evening, weekend, and night depending on the operation
- Freja eID is used in some work tasks
- A criminal record check will be requested
