About the position

You will be employed on a fixed-term basis as a roaming consultant through Montico and seconded to assignments at Ovako. There is also a possibility of direct employment with the client depending on needs and performance.

The work is organized in 5-shift and 3-shift patterns.

Job Description

In the role of a mechanic at Ovako, you will work daily with tasks such as:

• Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and renovations at Ovako's facilities in Boxholm.
• Troubleshooting through schematic reading and replacing faulty components on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding using various methods, such as arc welding and MIG/MAG welding.
• Ensuring that the workshop's machinery is kept in good condition and maintaining order and cleanliness in the work area.
• Participating in required projects.
• Adhering to safety and housekeeping regulations, as well as the company's quality, environmental, and energy management systems.
• Maintaining good communication with other staff members.
• Active work in the maintenance system API.

Requirements and Merits

We prefer that you have a mechanical engineering or automotive technical education, or equivalent experience in the field.

You should have:

• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Welding skills.
• Forklift and crane certificates.
• Basic computer skills.

Other

Good proficiency in Swedish (both spoken and written), as well as a valid driver's license and access to a car, are requirements for this position.
