The Workplace
We are currently looking for substitutes for the summer holiday period within elderly care – people who want to work to simplify, improve, help, and create a secure everyday life for those in need of support. Opportunities exist to work as a nurse assistant (undersköterska) or care aide (vårdbiträde).
We would prefer if you could start working extra hours as needed already during the winter or spring.
The current units are:
- Home Care Services in Nordmaling Municipality
- The Municipality's Nursing Home, Strandbacken, in central Nordmaling
Within these units, there are day, evening, weekend, and night shifts according to the schedule.

Tasks
The work as a nurse assistant or care aide involves providing good care and support to our elderly residents and helping them in their daily lives. You help our elderly with daily chores, activities, personal hygiene, and dispensing medication to those who need it. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as continuous documentation (such as measures, health status, and social status) in our current operational system.
About You
You must be 18 years old. We prefer that you have work experience and/or education in healthcare and social care.
To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, read and write care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
You should be interested in working with people and be reliable, stable, responsible, and have good empathy. We also value that you have good teamwork skills and are flexible. Personal qualities are highly valued.
For the home care services, a Class B driver's license is required, and we prefer that you have access to your own car.
Employment
Temporary position. Hourly wage. Employment levels vary. Start date by agreement.
This year's summer periods last for eight weeks, between June 15 and August 9 (holiday periods June 15 – July 12 and July 13 – August 9). We prioritize those who wish to work during both periods.
Summer Bonus
A summer bonus is offered to you who work as a summer substitute in Gräsmyr and Nyåker home care, who have signed up to work with us in the summer of 2026 for one or two holiday periods. More information will be provided at a potential interview.
