Among other things, we offer:

• Operation-specific introduction based on individual experience.
• For you with more than 3 years of experience, we offer an extra 6,250 SEK/week, which amounts to 25,000 SEK/month in addition to your base salary during the period 2026-06-22 to 2026-08-16. To be eligible for this bonus, you must be onboarded and work continuously throughout the entire specified period.
• For the summer of 2026, we can offer nurses registered in another municipality free accommodation, subject to availability.

About the job

At Umeå Municipality, you work as a nurse providing healthcare services. You handle medications, document, make assessments, and supervise other staff. You are responsible for ensuring that medical interventions work well for our users and coordinate contacts with doctors and other professional groups within primary care and hospitals. As a nurse in elderly care in Umeå Municipality, you can work within the following areas: Care and nursing homes, home healthcare, and evening and night patrols.

About you/the applicant

You are a licensed nurse with experience in the profession. You must have a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have specialist training in district nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatry.

As a nurse in the municipality, you and your colleagues have the highest medical competence. This means you need to enjoy taking responsibility, have good initiative, and be able to work independently. You also contribute to good collaboration through clear and respectful communication with other professions. Naturally, you have a good and respectful attitude when interacting with patients and relatives. Personal suitability is given great importance.

Evening and night work has a reduced working time of 34.33 hours/week.

The position is a summer temporary position, with the possibility of extension. Start and end dates are by agreement. Interviews, selection, and appointments are made on an ongoing basis. Umeå Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.
