Överkalix Municipality is now seeking nurses for home healthcare and special housing.

As a nurse in Överkalix Municipality, you are part of the Medical Team. The Medical Team consists of licensed personnel – nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants – led by a unit manager.

Your job is important

Your role involves making medical assessments, handling medications, and providing support and advice to the care staff. You plan health and medical care interventions for those in need of care.

Maintaining good contact with relatives is also part of your responsibility. This requires both decisiveness and analytical thinking.

You will work in a multiprofessional team with care and support staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. Therefore, we want you as a person to be secure, meticulous, reflective, critically thinking, and not afraid to think new thoughts.

You are offered an stimulating and varied job where you have care responsibility for patients within an area. You plan and lead the individual's care in consultation with the patient, relatives, and the responsible physician regarding health and medical care interventions.

During daytime hours, you work as the care coordinator for a number of patients within an area. Evenings and weekends involve telephone advice, as well as planned and unplanned home visits within special housing, LSS apartments, and ordinary housing.

This is you:

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in district healthcare, elderly care, or psychiatry, but this is not a requirement.

You are proficient in IT-based medical record systems and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Experience working within municipal healthcare, the Pulsen Combine system, and the national quality registers Senior Alert, SveDem, and the Palliative Register is meritorious.

Do you like working independently but in collaboration with care staff in the team? That is good, as we are looking for a person with good mentoring skills and the ability to coordinate all interventions. We always work with a holistic view of the patient.

As a person, you are brave and secure in your contact with patients, relatives, and staff. You are the one who gives them security.

The work places high demands on medical competence, and great importance is attached to personal suitability.

A driver's license is a requirement as you often work at patients' homes.
