Cook – Skolfood AB, Gothenburg

Are you a cheerful and positive cook with 5+ years of experience? We are currently looking for a Cook to work at one of our school preparation kitchens. You are a solution-oriented and proactive person who enjoys maintaining a good atmosphere in the kitchen.

In this role, you are responsible for purchasing raw materials, cooking, and ensuring service together with your colleagues in the kitchen.

Start: August 2026.

Employment type: Seasonal employment, 6 hours/day.

About the position

As a Cook, you will be part of a team working with the preparation of school meals. You will be a key person in ensuring the kitchen delivers good food and maintains high quality, while also creating a positive and efficient work environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Traditional cooking tasks, such as prep, cooking school meals, and cleaning.
• Purchasing
• Budget responsibility

We are looking for someone who:

• Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Is cheerful, positive, and able to spread a good mood in the kitchen.
• Is solution-oriented, proactive, and able to make quick decisions when needed.
• Has relevant education in cooking or the culinary profession, or equivalent work experience.

Merits:

• Experience working in a large-scale kitchen (storkök) is highly meritorious and familiarity with a fast pace.
• Knowledge of special diets (e.g., allergies, diet food, or vegetarian/vegan).
