Swede Ship has a long tradition in shipbuilding, and one of our yards - Djupviks Varv – has been building vessels since the 1890s. Deliveries to the Coast Guard and the Navy started as early as 1937, aluminum welding was introduced in 1950, and composite material manufacturing began in 1979.

Together with Swede Ship Composite in Hunnebostrand, we are currently looking for a Composite Technician. This is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is handled by Professionals Nord, but you will be employed directly by Swede Ship Composite. About the role

As a Composite Technician at Swede Ship Composite, you will work with the manufacturing of boats and components in composite materials, such as fiberglass and carbon fiber. The work is highly craft-based and takes place according to drawings, where attention to detail and precision are crucial. You will work both independently and in a team with colleagues.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Manufacture both large and small details according to drawings in composite materials
• Read and work according to customer-specific drawings
• Mold, finish, and assemble components

Who are you?

For this role, it is of utmost importance that you have a good feel for craftsmanship and are proficient with tools. You also need to be careful, responsible, and quality-conscious with an interest in practical work. You have previously worked as a composite technician, carpenter, or joiner and possess good ability to work from drawings.

Furthermore, we are looking for you who

• Have a relevant background - for example, from industrial high school, or alternatively experience as a composite technician, carpenter, or joiner
• Have a good ability to read and understand drawings
• Have a valid driver's license (Category B)
• Have fluent Swedish language skills
• Have good English language skills

If you have previous experience as a composite technician, it is meritorious for the position, but not a requirement.
