Job Description
As a service technician in the maintenance team, you have the opportunity to make a difference in people's daily lives and make life easier for individuals with disabilities. The work takes place both in the field and in the Assistive Devices Centre's own workshop facilities. You will work in close collaboration with customers, patients, and colleagues in various ways.
Your main tasks will include inspection of basic equipment, such as ceiling lifts, as well as corrective maintenance on beds, lifting motors, and other assistive devices covered by our basic equipment agreement. You will usually travel together with a colleague to the jobs you have scheduled. Other tasks may occur as needed.
Qualifications
To provide good service in the role of service technician, you need:
- to have a good attitude and be service-oriented
- to work well together with others
- to thrive in adapting to changing circumstances
- to be responsible and meticulous to ensure quality and high safety standards
You have a completed upper secondary education and work experience that has given you technical knowledge in areas relevant to the position. You enjoy meeting new people and have the ability to be empathetic and flexible. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills and experience working in various IT systems. Since the position involves walking and standing for large parts of the workday, it is important that you have good physical fitness and an ergonomic work approach. Furthermore, you have a valid B-class driver's license and good driving experience.
If you have previous experience working with and interacting with individuals in need of assistive devices, it is an advantage for the position. Knowledge of the Sesam business area is also advantageous, as well as some experience with low-voltage work (12-24V).
Inspection training from HMC Sweden is highly advantageous.
About the Assistive Devices Centre
The Assistive Devices Centre is part of the Social Services Administration within the Region of Västra Götaland and serves as a competence and logistics center for the region and its 49 municipalities. Our service offering is based on healthcare providers' need for in-depth knowledge within the assistive devices area as well as various service services to support the care chain.
We offer you a developing workplace where you receive introduction, training, and good employment conditions. The team, consisting of 23 maintenance technicians, is characterized by a good cooperation climate with an unpretentious and helpful approach.
Other Information
The position is a fixed-term contract for one year, with a desired start date in early August.
On-call duty is included in the position. An extract from the criminal record will be requested. Questions about the position are handled by Linus Welander, Unit Manager for the maintenance team at the Assistive Devices Centre in Mölndal.
