Deputy Sales Manager for the Bakery

ICA Kvantum in Skövde is a family-owned business with approximately 70 employees. We work tirelessly to be Skövde's best grocery store for those who want to live a little better.

We have now completed our renovation of the entire store and are ready to take the next step towards becoming Skaraborg's most modern grocery store, focusing on food and meal solutions.

As the Deputy Sales Manager here, you will be responsible for the bakery and soft bread department regarding production, economics, operations, purchasing, product development, and inspiration, in collaboration with your direct manager, the Sales Manager for the bakery.

Responsibilities:

You will be involved in ensuring that daily production runs smoothly and that you inspire customers every day with the assortment, inspiration, new products, and seasonal offerings from the bakery.

An important part of the job is working on effective communication, price perception, and creating a unified structure within the department. Your responsibility, together with your direct manager, includes planning, establishing, and anchoring routines, sales steering, sales planning, maintaining sales pressure in the department, and constantly working to keep the department well-presented, clean, and inspiring.

Each week, you will be involved in ordering and campaigns, and the role includes working towards the set budget together with the Sales Manager.

Your duties also include stepping in as the acting Sales Manager for the bakery and soft bread department when the Sales Manager is not present.

The position involves primarily production, customer service, and to some extent administrative work. The role covers weekdays and weekends.

You should be able to handle stressful situations and have the ability to see the big picture in your work. You should be outgoing, enjoy leading a team, but also be able to work independently.

You should also be structured and organized, enjoy development, be engaged, focus on sales and operations, and create good profitability.

Qualifications:

• Experience from bakery/confectionery/grocery retail
• Good knowledge of store economics
• Structured and with a good sense of quality

As Deputy Sales Manager, you report to the Sales Manager for the department.

The position is approximately 95% of a full-time role. We offer a permanent position with an initial 6-month probation period. The position is available immediately or by agreement. Salary according to agreement.
