GP Specialist at Heby Health Centre – 1100 Patients per Full-Time Equivalent

Heby Health Centre, part of "Nära vård och hälsa" (Close Care and Health) in Uppsala County, is currently seeking a GP specialist for a unique role. We work to provide close care and health services to the residents of Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care, habilitation, and telephone advice via 1177. Education, research, and development are central to our work, as we continuously adapt our offerings to meet the needs of the population. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

We now have a unique opportunity to be part of our initiative where we are hiring more GP specialists to Heby Health Centre. The goal is to offer 1,100 listed patients per full-time GP specialist already by 2026.

By joining from the start, you will have excellent opportunities to influence our new ways of working, patient flows, and appointment scheduling. We offer permanent positions at 75–100%, with the degree of employment discussed based on your preferences. Start date is by agreement.

Your role

At Heby Health Centre, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre and in teams. Your duties include reception work with good opportunities for other stimulating tasks, such as supervising BT/AT/ST doctors and responsibility for various clinical processes based on your interest.

Being part of developing our operations is a natural part of the role. You will have the opportunity to influence work arrangements and appointment schedules, which in turn gives you influence over your own work environment. As is the case throughout primary care in Uppsala County, some on-call duty and standby work are included in the role.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine and Swedish licensure. Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is required.

Since we are in a phase where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is meritorious if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on the patient and patient flows. We also value those who appreciate working in teams around patients with other professions to create efficient flows. Personal qualities are highly valued.

Our operations

Heby Health Centre is located in western Uppland and belongs to the administration "Nära vård och hälsa" (Close Care and Health), Uppsala County. We have approximately 7,000 listed patients and are 30 employees working in teams. Our operations are broad, and all professional areas within the health centre's mandate are represented, including a youth clinic.

Here at Heby Health Centre, we work for a good work environment with "high ceilings" and satisfied patients. The broad variation of patients creates a stimulating and developing workplace.

We have specialists in several areas, including diabetes, asthma/COPD, and heart failure nurses with their own clinics, an elderly clinic, and a district nurse working with hypertension patients. We also conduct targeted health talks for 40-year-olds.

You will have a list with a maximum of 1,100 patients. We have doctor meetings every week where we prioritize competence development and collegial collaboration. The management team consists of the operations manager, group manager, and MLA (Medical Lead Administrator).
