Our 1,800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our services based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

There is now a unique opportunity to join our initiative where we are hiring more GPs to Heby Health Centre, aiming to offer 1,100 registered patients per full-time GP by 2026. Join from the start, and you will have excellent opportunities to influence our new ways of working, patient flows, and appointment scheduling! We offer permanent positions at 75–100%, with the degree of employment discussed based on the applicant's preferences. Start date by agreement.

Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre and within teams. Your tasks include clinic work with good opportunities for other stimulating duties, such as supervising BT/AT/ST doctors and responsibility for various clinical processes based on interest. Part of the role involves contributing to the development of our operations, with good opportunities to influence work arrangements and scheduling, thereby allowing you to shape your work environment. The role also includes some on-call duty/readiness, as is standard across primary care in Region Uppsala.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine, with Swedish licensure, and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Since we are currently in a phase where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is meritorious if you have an interest in healthcare development with the patient and patient flows in focus. It is also beneficial if you appreciate working in teams with other professions around the patients to achieve efficient flows. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our Operations

Heby Health Centre belongs to the department Close Care and Health, Region Uppsala, and is located in western Uppland with approximately 7,000 registered patients. We are 30 employees working in teams. Our operations are broad, and all professional areas within the health centre's mandate are represented. We also have a youth clinic.

At Heby Health Centre, we work to maintain a good work environment with "high ceilings" and satisfied patients. We work in close collaboration among all professions, and a key principle is "freedom under responsibility," where you have great opportunities to influence your work situation as long as the organization's goals are met. The broad variety of patients creates a stimulating and developing workplace. We have nurses specializing in diabetes, asthma/COPD, and heart failure with their own clinics, an elderly care clinic, and a district nurse working with hypertension patients. We also conduct targeted health conversations for 40-year-olds.

Here, you will have a list with a maximum of 1,100 patients. We have doctor meetings every week where we prioritize competence development and collegial collaboration. The management team consists of the Operations Manager, Group Manager, and MLA (Medical Lead Assistant).
