General Practitioner at Östhammar Health Centre – Initiative for 1100 patients per doctor
Östhammar Health Centre
Our 1,800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.
Do you also want 1,100 on your list? Then, as a district physician, you have the opportunity to apply!
There is now a unique opportunity to join our initiative where we are hiring more district physicians to Östhammar Health Centre, with the goal of offering 1,100 listed patients per full-time district physician by 2026. Join from the start and you will have excellent opportunities to influence our new ways of working, patient flows, and scheduling! We offer permanent positions at 75-100%, and the degree of employment will be discussed based on the applicant's preferences. Start date by agreement.

Your Role
Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre and within teams. Your tasks include outpatient work with good opportunities for other stimulating duties, such as supervising BT/AT/ST physicians and responsibility for various clinical processes based on interest. As part of the job, you will contribute to developing our operations, with good opportunities to influence work arrangements and scheduling, thereby impacting your work environment. The role also includes some on-call/standby duties, as is standard in primary care within Region Uppsala. We offer the possibility to work partially remotely.
If interested, there is an opportunity to combine your work at the health centre with work at the Primary Care Unit, which is a care ward located at the health centre.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a physician with specialist competence in general medicine, holding a Swedish license, and with good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Since we are currently in a stage where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is an advantage if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on the patient and patient flows. It is also beneficial if you appreciate working in teams with other professions around the patients to achieve efficient flows. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Our Operations
We are the health centre with great opportunities, and we are looking for you who want to develop with us! Care is provided within a health centre complex consisting of a health centre, emergency clinic, primary care unit, and short-term unit, with X-ray and laboratory services in the same building.
We are located near the sea in an archipelago environment in Östhammar, with good connections, approximately 7 miles from Uppsala. The bus stops nearby, and there is free parking at the health centre. Here, all professions work close together to provide the best possible care, and you can become part of our team!
We have approximately 6,500 listed patients, and we are 30 employees offering most aspects of primary care. We have very well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health centre, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personalized solutions.

This therefore applies to all who will work close to patients, even if the tasks at present are not intended to primarily involve work with the aforementioned patient groups.
