District Physician for Östhammar Health Centre – Join Our Initiative for 1100 Registered Patients

Östhammar Health Centre, part of Nära Vård och Hälsa in Uppsala County, is now seeking an engaged district physician with specialist competence in general medicine. We offer a unique opportunity to be involved from the start in an initiative aimed at offering 1100 registered patients per full-time district physician by 2026.

Your Role

Here, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre and within teams. Your duties include outpatient work with good opportunities for other stimulating tasks, such as supervising BT/AT/ST physicians and taking responsibility for various clinical processes based on interest. You will have the chance to develop our operations, influence work arrangements, appointment scheduling, and your own work environment. The position includes some on-call duty/readiness, similar to other primary care services in Uppsala County, as well as the possibility of partial remote work.

If interested, there is an opportunity to combine work at the health centre with work at the Primary Care Unit, a ward located at the health centre.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a physician with specialist competence in general medicine and Swedish licensure. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. As we are in a development phase, it is advantageous if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on the patient and patient flows. We also value the ability to work in teams with other professions to create efficient workflows. Personal qualities are highly valued.

Our Operations

We are a health centre with great opportunities for development alongside our staff. Healthcare is provided within a centre comprising a health centre, emergency clinic, primary care unit, and short-term unit. X-ray and laboratory services are located in the same building. We are situated near the sea in an archipelago setting in Östhammar, approximately 7 miles from Uppsala, with good connections. The bus stops nearby, and there is free parking at the health centre.

At Östhammar Health Centre, approximately 30 employees work with around 6,500 registered patients. We offer a wide range of primary care services and have highly functional nurse-led clinics. We cherish a good and stimulating work environment with personalized solutions.
