Care Assistants for Home Care – Evening shifts Monday–Friday sought. Driving license required.

Hemstyrkan is now seeking care assistants who want to be part of a company that values well-being and quality for both employees and customers.

About Hemstyrkan

Hemstyrkan is one of the first home care providers in Stockholm.

Today, we provide home care in 10 out of 11 districts in Stockholm City, around the clock, and have four operations located in:

  • West Stockholm (Råcksta, Bromma)
  • South West Stockholm (Axelsberg, Hägersten)
  • South East Stockholm (Hammarbyhöjden, Johanneshov)
  • Inner City (Hjorthagen, Östermalm)

We have a collective agreement.

Our primary focus is to create a well-functioning staff group with good scheduling, present leadership, and high job satisfaction. We believe that when employees are happy, this positivity spreads to our customers, creating quality in the elder care we provide.

Benefits of working with us

At Hemstyrkan, we offer a workplace where employee well-being and professional development are at the center. We work in small teams with present and accessible managers, and we do not use split shifts. For those seeking a stable work situation, there is an opportunity to work Monday through Friday, both during the day and in the evenings.

We have clear trust in our employees' competence and ability. Personal responsibility and influence are important parts of our operations, and we work with a well-functioning case management system where you, as a care assistant, are the fixed contact person. This means you are responsible for "your" customers on the days you work. Every day and every meeting is different, which requires flexibility and professionalism, but also provides good opportunities to influence your work and create quality for the customer.

Hemstyrkan is characterized by present and non-hierarchical leadership. Each unit has both a team leader and a manager on site, with good knowledge of customers, relatives, and the needs of the operation. We work together with the staff, are involved in daily life, and provide support when needed to ensure a safe and functioning operation.

As an employee, you will also receive a wellness allowance, which is part of our long-term focus on a sustainable work environment and healthy, secure employees.

Your role

We are now seeking care assistants who want to contribute to our customers being able to stay in their homes with security, continuity, and dignity. The work should be characterized by care, quality, and a professional approach.

The role involves performing care and service tasks in the customer's home as well as being responsible for case management, which means creating continuity and following up on the customer's needs. You may also participate in care planning.

Social documentation is a central part of the work, and we have high demands for accuracy, structure, and compliance with current regulations.

We are also looking for employees for extra work as needed. Hemstyrkan operates year-round.

As a care assistant with us, you work to enable our customers to stay in their homes with security, dignity, and quality. Your work should be permeated by care, professionalism, and presence.

We are also looking for staff for extra work as needed. We operate 365 days a year.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a care assistant and have a professional attitude towards the profession and the meeting with the customer. The following requirements apply for the position:

  • Protected professional title as a care assistant issued by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
  • Manual B driver's license and driving experience, good cycling skills, and willingness to use a bicycle and walk during work hours
  • Good ability to meet people in different life situations in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner
  • Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and see the big picture in the assignment
  • Stability and stress tolerance, with the ability to handle varying workdays
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Basic knowledge of cooking and household management

Experience from home care or similar operations is meritorious but not a requirement.

If you want to work in a company where employees are prioritized, where management is close to the operations, and where you get the opportunity to truly contribute to the quality of life for those we help, then Hemstyrkan might be the right workplace for you.
