Attendo Ljung in Värmdö is now looking for an engaged nursing assistant for our daycare activity center, Solrosbacken. Here, we welcome up to eight guests with dementia every day who come to us for companionship, security, and joy. They are picked up and dropped off by our own bus, and while with us, the day is filled with warmth, activities, meals, and care.

At our center, the day might begin with a calm breakfast, continue with activities, and end with shared meals and coffee breaks. Everything we do is based on a person-centered approach, and our goal is to create a positive feeling that remains even after the day at our center is over.

When we have a full group of eight guests, we have two staff members, which creates a secure and calm environment for everyone.

Lunch? It is prepared with love by our skilled in-house cooks, and we serve it in a cozy home-like environment where meals become a natural gathering point.

The position is 80%, with daytime hours and work every other weekend.

About the role

As a nursing assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a secure and stimulating environment for our clients. You are responsible for providing good care and support to our clients. Creating a positive and social atmosphere during meals is a large part of your role, as well as contributing to various activities that brighten the daily lives of our elderly.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Personal care according to the facility's routines, based on the client's individual needs and wishes.

• Serving meals, cleaning, laundry, etc.

• Performing documentation and working based on decided interventions.

• Collaborating with external and internal contacts such as relatives, nurses, and social workers.

You enjoy providing good service, building nice relationships, and want to give quality of life to our clients. As a person, you are independent, humble, meticulous, and responsible. You are passionate about elderly care, see the individual's needs, and are engaged with their relatives. You take initiative and consider your colleagues.

You will become part of an engaged team that all strive to do that little extra. Therefore, it is important that you are good at collaborating, have a pedagogical approach, and contribute to a good and pleasant atmosphere at our workplace.

Qualifications

• Nursing assistant education.

• Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as a nursing assistant.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).

• Good computer skills/computer literacy, journal documentation.

• Experience from care work in elderly care.

Meritorious:

• Experience with delegation.

• Class B driver's license.

About the recruitment process
